In The Bleak Midwinter film

In The Bleak Midwinter film

loosely based on Gustav Holst’s version of this lovely carol, here is my new arrangement

the words to In the Bleak Midwinter are a poem by the English poet Christina Rossetti – in 1906 Gustav Holst composed a setting of Rossetti’s words in The English Hymnal which is now sung as a carol throughout the world

performed here fingerstyle on my Doug Berch mountain dulcimer in Ionian tuning EBB (DAA but in key of E) – using a shimmer delay on my Boss DD-500 delay FX unit, mixed with audio from two mics
