Over The Rainbow film

Over The Rainbow film

recorded on an iPhone in my kitchen during the Covid-19 pandemic and in respect of NHS and health workers, working in the pandemic

Over The Rainbow was written for the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz and was sung by actress Judy Garland in her starring role as Dorothy Gale – at that time it won the Academy Award for Best Original Song

more recently the song and melody have become an anthem to thank NHS staff for their heroic efforts during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic

Over The Rainbow is played on my electric mountain dulcimer in Ionian tuning DAA with effects from the Boss GT1 – the FX (in sequence) are i) preamp simulation, ii) slow gear, iii) sub delay, iv) analogue delay v) EQ
