Snow film

Snow film

a short film of Dan Evans’ original jazzy and atmospheric instrumental guitar piece Snow from his Spirit Dancing album (1997)

the film also shows photographs of Olney and surrounding area

this piece aims to capture the magical atmosphere that prevails when snow falls at night – large flakes meander reluctantly down and an eerie blue silence fills the air

unusually for Dan, this piece is played in standard tuning (EADGBE) on a Fylde Goodfellow acoustic guitar – the chimes are played by Dan’s wife, Mary and Natasha Bryant plays cello – Dan also plays a second guitar part with delay and soft overdrive (distortion)
