Spencer The Rover film
recorded during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, this song seemed appropriate as the message is ‘go home’
Spencer The Rover is a traditional folk song, which I learned from the playing of my favourite artist John Martyn from his Sunday’s Child album
arranged and performed here in Open G tuning DGDGBD on my Auden Chester acoustic guitar – a studio version of Spencer The Rover can be heard on my Guardian Spirit CD album (1993)
